Having a huge list of people in your email or social database can make you a ton of money... literally.

Over the last few days I have again realized just how important having a list can be. This is something I have told people about, but sometimes it takes someone else to remind you why.

In my day to day business I don’t actually have to market myself that much. I have a regular client list, and other jobs come in here and there that allow me to continue to make money. Recently though I have started to move in a new direction which will include marketing my own websites. That being said I thought I would share a couple of stories from the last few months that may interest you.

Example #1. How 1 Web Marketer and His Friends Will Make 2 Million+ in a Weekend… because of his list.

Yes I said two million dollars ($2,000,000) and that is no bull. The actual amount is probably event more, but I thought I would be conservative. I am just guessing. Who is this guys and how will he do it? Well some of you may have heard of him, his name is Yanik Silver. At the end of this month Yanik and a few of his pals are putting on something called “underground 5″ this “underground” conference is open to a select group of people willing to pony up $3000 to learn from him and others who are making thousands of dollars on the internet, living the “internet lifestyle”.

So how will he make $2 million? Well do the math. $3000 x 500+ people and you come close. That is without the books, etc he will sell afterward. That along with charging his “friends” a percentage of what they sell at the conference and afterwards… well you get the picture. That is all because he has a HUGE LIST. Just putting something like this together is a great idea. However the problem with any event is marketing it. The key to his big payday is (you guessed it) his “list”. Yanik has thousands of people on his list and thousands more on his friends’ lists because whenever you go to his site, he tries to give you something for signing up to his list.

So while you might think… holy crap Batman $3000 is alot of money! He doesn’t care because all he needs is a few hundred people to pay his rate, and BAMM – Big Pay Day.

Ask Yourself is your list worth $2,000,000?

Next time… The Power of MySpace…and How to Market Your Next Event
